សេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍របស់ អ្នកនាំពាក្យនៃការិយាល័យកិច្ចការបរទេស សហព័ន្ធ នៅទីក្រុងបែរឡាំង នៅថ្ងៃទី ០៤ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០១៧៖ រដ្ឋាភិបាលនៃសាធារណរដ្ឋសហព័ន្ធអាល្លឺម៉ង់ មានការព្រួយបារម្ភយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ដោយបានដឹង អំពីការចាប់ខ្លួនលោក កឹម សុខា មេដឹកនាំគណបក្សប្រឆាំង ទោះបីជាលោក មានអភ័យឯកសិទ្ធិសភា របស់លោកនៅកម្ពុជា យ៉ាងណាក៏ដោយ។

ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ថ្មីៗ នៅកម្ពុជា បង្កជាឧបសគ្គ ដល់អង្គការសង្គមស៊ីវិល វិធានការប្រឆាំងនឹងប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយ ក៏ដូចជាការចាប់ខ្លួននេះ បង្ហាញពីការរឹតបន្តឹងដ៏ធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ ចំពោះសេរីភាពនៃ ការបញ្ចេញមតិ និងដំណើរការប្រជាធិបតេយ្យ នៅក្នុងប្រទេសនេះ។

Statement of the spokesperson of Federal Foreign Office in Berlin on 4 September 2017:
“The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany was very concerned to learn of the arrest of opposition leader Kem Sokha despite his parliamentary immunity in Cambodia.
The recent events in Cambodia, constraints on civil society organisations, steps taken against the media as well as this arrest signify a massive restriction of freedom of speech and thus the democratic process in the country.
